SD35 and 70 – All-in-one screwdriving solutions. Drive up to 6 screws in under a minute, even in narrow and hard-to-reach spaces. The SD35 and SD70 are brushless screwdriver systems designed for use with collaborative robots to ensure safe, user-friendly and consistent screw assembly for screws requiring tightening torques of up to 3.5 Nm and 7 Nm. The SD35 and SD70 feature several built-in functions that enhance robot integration and support collaborative working environments.
The SD35 and SD70 are designed for pick-and-place screwdriving tasks. This means that screws are picked up from an automatic screw feeder located within the robot’s reach and driven into place at programmed insertion points.
Safety screen
The safety guard covers the drill bit and screw whilst they are in motion, thereby protecting the operator from rotating and sharp objects. If the tool unexpectedly strikes an object, a safety sensor stops the robot immediately. The built-in safety sensor is at Performance Level D, which makes safe implementation straightforward.
Easy route planning
The teach pen supplied helps the user to set the exact position of the screw insertion points. When the free-run button is pressed, the tool can be moved to the next position. Use the configurable button to save waypoints, start the screwdriver and more.
Automatic bit changer (optional)
If you use different types and sizes of screws on the same workstation, we recommend the automatic bit changer, which can switch between different screw bits automatically and must be used in combination with additional screw feeders.
Countersunk holes and hard-to-reach areas
Screws can be inserted into countersunk holes up to 15 mm deep from the surface.
